A queue that respects everybody's time
turnda is a small, independent product built for the people who actually stand behind a counter — and for the customers stuck waiting in front of one.
Waiting is one of the last genuinely bad experiences left in ordinary life. You stand in a room you would rather not be in, holding a paper ticket, afraid to step outside in case your number comes up. Meanwhile the person at the counter is answering “how much longer?” instead of doing their job.
Almost every tool built to fix this charges per message, which quietly caps how well it can work: the more people you serve, the more it costs to tell them it is their turn. turnda starts from the opposite end — a live page each visitor can open for free — and treats paid messaging as a helpful extra on top rather than the mechanism itself.
The rest follows from that. One flat price because there is no per-message cost to recover. No hardware because a phone and any screen with a browser are enough. And a serving order decided by one engine, so nobody at the counter has to defend a decision they did not make.
Four decisions everything else follows from
Calling a customer back should not have a unit cost
The moment notifying someone costs money per message, every design decision bends around it — you notify less, you upsell allowances, you tier by volume. Building on a free tracking link removes that pressure entirely, which is why it is the primary channel rather than a fallback.
The fair order should not be a staff decision
Most queue arguments happen because a human decided who was next and now has to defend it. One engine decides, every screen reads from it, and staff carry out the decision instead of making it. That is better for the customer and much better for whoever is on the counter.
One price, everywhere, forever
$44 per location per month, the same in every country, with everything included. No tiers to graduate through, no feature held back, no enterprise negotiation. If that is worth less to you than it costs, it should be easy to leave.
Say what the product does not do
There is no SMS, no per-staff calendar, no table management and no native app. Naming those plainly costs a few trials and saves everyone the ones that would have ended badly.
Early, and honest about it
turnda is new. We do not publish customer counts, logos or testimonials, because we would rather show you nothing than show you something invented — and there is a straight list of what we have not yet earned on our security page. What we do have is a product you can try for 30 days and judge for yourself, which is the only proof that really counts.
