Where each one is the better answer
No product wins everywhere. If TablesReady is the right call for you, we would rather you found that out here than after a trial.
Where we win
The same deal outside North America
TablesReady states that international customers get one tenth the message quantity. turnda is one flat price with the same allowance worldwide — which matters if you are not in the US or Canada.
Built for a counter, not a dining room
Clinics, pharmacies and salons need multi-stage visits, privacy on the lobby screen and a defensible serving order. Those are turnda's core, not a restaurant product's.
Call-back that is not metered
Their plans are counted in messages. turnda's tracking link is a page, so the call-back itself has no unit cost.
Where TablesReady may fit better
You run a restaurant
Table management, reservations and party seating are their product and are explicitly out of scope for turnda.
You want SMS and no card to trial
They are SMS-first and their trial takes no card. turnda sends no SMS and asks for a card upfront.
You use Square or restaurant POS integrations
Their Business tier lists Square and Google integrations that turnda has no equivalent for.
Moving over is mostly reprinting a QR code
If you are a service business currently using a restaurant waitlist, the change is mostly conceptual — swap the QR code and set your line up around your actual stages rather than around tables.
Common questions
Can turnda handle a restaurant?
Only as a plain queue. Party size, table plans and seating are deliberately out of scope, so a restaurant that needs those should use a restaurant product.
Why does the international message allowance matter?
Messaging costs vary enormously by country, and most tools handle that by giving you less outside their home market. turnda meters the actual cost against a US$5 per-location ceiling instead, so the offer is the same everywhere.
